Thirteen vessels leave Ukrainian ports via ‘grain corridor’

A total of 13 vessels have left the Odesa region’s ports as part of the so-called ‘grain initiative’, carrying agricultural products for African, Asian and European countries.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“On October 9, 2022, a total of 13 vessels loaded with 230.7 thousand tonnes of agricultural products for African, Asian and European countries left Odesa Port, Pivdennyi Port and Chornomorsk Port,” the report states.

In particular, among them, there are such ships as ARGONAUT (loaded with 71,000 tonnes of wheat for Indonesia), ALI A (7,000 tonnes of wheat for Lebanon) and MEHVET BEY (8,000 tonnes of soybeans for Egypt).

According to the ministry, since the ‘grain corridor’ was opened, a total of 305 vessels have exported 6.8 million tonnes of Ukrainian-produced agricultural crops to African, Asian and European countries.
