Government exploring opportunities for building decentralized power system in Ukraine
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting on Tuesday, Ukrinform reports.
"Russian attacks are pushing us towards a fundamental reform – the construction of a decentralized power system. Then it will be less vulnerable to enemy attacks. We are talking about the creation of mini-power plants and small generation facilities, integrated into the existing power system," the head of the government said.
He also emphasized that the minimum program for the Cabinet of Ministers this year will be the successful completion of the heating season, restoration of damage caused by the Russian barbarians, ensuring uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure, and strengthening the security of energy facilities, especially nuclear power plants.
As reported, Ukraine will use mobile sources of generation – gas turbine and gas piston power plants.
