Almost 20 power units of Ukrainian thermal power plants were damaged due to constant Russian missile attacks, and given the occupation of part of the facilities, Ukraine has lost three-quarters of its TPP capacity.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this at a government meeting on Friday, February 10, according to Ukrinform.

"Russian terrorists today again launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. In general, almost 20 power units of thermal power plants remain damaged due to constant attacks. If we add to this the occupation of part of our energy facilities, then Ukraine temporarily lost 44% of nuclear generation, 75% of the capacity of thermal power plants and 33% of block-type thermal power stations. One in two substations of Ukrenergo was attacked in [the past] four months," he said.

According to Shmyhal, despite this terror, most Ukrainians remain with heat, water and electricity. Repairs are ongoing, there are enough resources to get through the winter, power generators are arriving, and energy equipment from partners is already on its way.

On February 10, the Russian military launched a massive missile attack on critical infrastructure in Ukraine. Ukrainian forces shot down 61 out of 71 cruise missiles launched by Russia.
