Law on Energoatom’s corporatization comes into force on Mar 23
The relevant statement was made by Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“On March 22, 2023, the Law of Ukraine ‘On Peculiarities of Incorporating Joint-Stock Company Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company’ was published by the Verkhovna Rada’s official newspaper, Holos Ukrainy. According to Art. 6 of the Law, it comes into force on the day following its publication,” the report states.
Hence, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has to endorse a decision on the company’s incorporation within two months, as well as conduct competitive selection and appoint all members of its Supervisory Board within not later than six months.
A reminder that, in February 2023, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted draft bill No. 8067 ‘On Peculiarities of Incorporating Joint-Stock Company Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company’ as a whole.
