One hundred solar panels were delivered and installed in the Chernihiv Regional Emergency Medical Center by Finland’s Kerabit Aurinkosahkö (formerly Playgreen Finland Oy) with the assistance of Ukraine’s Embassy in the Republic of Finland.

This was reported by the local military administration, as seen by Ukrinform.

Over the past week, specialists from the said company were coordinating installation and programming works.

"It's priceless! It is really timely! And this will definitely be a guarantee of our facility’s stable functioning. After all, last year’s events proved that we must become as autonomous as possible, given the constant enemy attacks on our energy grid. Medical assistance must be provided at any time, under any circumstances," said Zhanna Sherstiuk, deputy administration chief.

For their part, Jouni Penttinen, CEO Kerabit Aurinkosahkö, and company director/board member Perttu Jauhiainen noted that they would continue cooperation with Chernihiv region’s authorities in such an important energy sector.

According to the head of the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine Ihor Danylenko, the solar power system is fully installed and should be operational soon.

As reported, the Reconstruction Agency received from France three metal modular bridges as humanitarian aid to be installed on critical routes across Chernihiv region.

Installation work on the first two bridges was completed in February. In early March, the structures were tested before being put into operation. Road workers will install the third bridge after the water level on the Desna River falls.
