Energy Ministry, German Eastern Business Association to develop ‘green’ projects in Ukraine
This is said in a statement published on the ministry’s website, Ukrinform reports.
The memorandum provides for the exchange of experience between the parties in accelerating the "green" energy transition, the implementation of regular joint formats of cooperation on the integration of Ukraine’s energy market with the European one, as well as the support of "green" recovery as part of joint pilot projects on energy reconstruction in Ukraine at the expense of Germany’s business investments.
At a meeting with representatives of German companies, Energy Minister German Galushchenko told about the significant potential for the development of "green" technologies as part of the recovery and reconstruction of the Ukrainian energy sector.
"Renewable energy is more than just a climate issue. This is an important part of the future of Ukraine’s energy system, which will be resistant to military challenges and be rebuilt on the principles of sustainable development. Investments in this industry are a contribution to the energy security of the whole of Europe," Galushchenko said.
As reported, 30 countries have already provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine’s energy sector. It includes 470 cargoes with a total weight of about 6,000 tonnes, which have been distributed among 111 enterprises of the energy sector.
