Defense Ministry to fully launch State Anti-Corruption Program after martial law ends – Reznikov
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov during the presentation of the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2023-2025, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“I have personally signed the plan for the implementation of this program in the Ministry of Defense, i.e. all the formal bureaucratic things have been launched. The newly created department, which has been reorganized into a specialized department, and Mr. Stepanian [Serhii Stepanian, the Head of Corruption Prevention and Detection Department – Ed.] already have all the guidelines, we are discussing and working on this. We have our priorities. Of course, this also refers to land, because the Ministry of Defense has a lot of land, as well as the distribution of housing, the purchases of defense and rear importance, and many other things,” Reznikov told.
In his words, according to the program, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has to prepare 25 regulatory documents and will do so.
At the same time, there are certain nuances that will definitely not be implemented today, for example control over the movement of fuel and oils across Ukraine. For the duration of the war, it is impossible, Reznikov stressed.
Meanwhile, the work is underway, and the program will be fully launched after martial law ends, Reznikov added.
A reminder that, on March 4, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine endorsed the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2023-2025.
