Ukraine will get access to $115 billion of long-term support due to the assistance of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the G7 countries.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this following a meeting with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva on the sidelines of the Spring Meetings in Washington, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Government portal, Ukrinform reports.

"A year ago, in the IMF office, we agreed on the ways to financially support Ukraine. We were talking about $5 billion in monthly budget support. Over this time, we have not only successfully gone through a difficult financial year, but we now have a large-scale program worth $15.6 billion for the next four years. We are grateful and appreciate this help," Shmyhal said.

The parties discussed the course of reforms’ implementation and further progress towards recovery and development.

The Prime Minister noted that Ukraine needs $14 billion for fast recovery this year. In this context, according to him, further work within the Multi-agency Donor Coordination Platform is vital.
