Romanian ruling party to ask government to ban grain import from Ukraine

"PSD will ask the governing coalition to make a political decision to enable ... the government to issue the decree," according to the party's statement, to which the Minister of Agriculture belongs
At the same time, the party emphasizes that Romania should facilitate the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products to other countries.
"At the same time, Romania must continue to support Ukraine by facilitating the transit of farm products to other European Union states or to Black Sea commercial routes," the statement said.
As reported, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary have banned grain imports from Ukraine.
The European Commission said that it considered unilateral trade decisions by Poland and Hungary, which banned imports of Ukrainian grain and other agricultural products, unacceptable. Polish Minister for European Affairs Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk emphasized that Poland is ready to clarify Brussels' doubts about this order and work on additional solutions to stabilize the situation.
