Zelensky: Estonia is first country to start practical restoration of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said at a briefing in Zhytomyr following the negotiations with Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Our negotiations are meaningful as always. We had time to discuss the whole range of issues that matter right now and, first of all, our capabilities on the front line. It is important that all our partners are now as determined as possible, as fast as possible in delivering the promised aid, and especially weapons, so that we can speed up the end of this war as much as possible, liberate our land and restore the full force of international law," Zelensky said.

According to him, during the negotiations, the political interaction between Ukraine and Estonia regarding the full-fledged membership of our country in the EU and NATO was also discussed.

"Of course, today we also talked about the reconstruction of Ukraine. Estonia became the first country to start practical restoration on our land here, in Zhytomyr region, in Ovruch. This is the right example for many other partners. I am sure we will do a lot together. Today I raised the issue of structuring aid in reconstruction. In particular, the creation of a corresponding office here in Zhytomyr region," the President added.

Zelensky also thanked Estonia for being principled regarding sanctions against Russia.

"The terrorist state must bear full responsibility for what was committed in Ukraine. This concerns the punishment of all Russian murderers and terrorists, the creation of an appropriate tribunal for the crime of aggression which will ensure that all criminals, including the Russian elite, are held to account and also compensation for war damages is paid at the expense of the aggressor's assets," the Head of State noted.
