Italian export credit agency ready to allocate €1B to support Ukraine – Shmyhal
Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this at a joint press statement with Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni, in Rome, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
In addition to EUR 500 million, the agency is ready to allocate another EUR 1 billion to support trade and financial transactions, in particular in the healthcare and infrastructure sectors, Shmyhal noted.
According to him, the Italian development financial institution SIMEST will also support investments by Italian companies in Ukraine's recovery through export credits, concessional lending, and direct investment.
As Ukrinform reported, Shmyhal arrived in Italy on Wednesday, April 26. In Rome, he is taking part in a bilateral conference on Ukraine’s restoration.
