Russian missile attack has not damaged the energy infrastructure. Electricity production is sufficient to meet consumption needs, but the situation in the East remains difficult.

"The morning missile attack by the Russians has not damaged the energy infrastructure and has not triggered the need to limit consumption. However, the situation remains difficult in eastern Ukraine where an energy facility was damaged due to shelling," National Energy Company “Ukrenergo” posted on Facebook.

It is noted that as of April 28, electricity production is sufficient to meet consumption needs. Hydroelectric power plants continue to operate not only to cover morning and evening consumption peaks but also throughout the day.

"Export of electricity to Poland and Moldova continues as well as minor import from Slovakia," the company added.

Ukrenergo repair crews work on all high-voltage network facilities that suffered from Russian attacks. As a reminder, as a result of 15 missile and 18 drone attacks, the energy system was damaged unprecedentedly. A lot of resources and time are still needed to restore the level of reliable energy supply that existed before the massive attacks.
