Zelensky meets with delegation of American state of Utah

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Such visits are signals of support for our country not only at the national level, but also at the regional level,” the President of Ukraine noted.

On behalf of the Ukrainian people, the Head of State thanked the United States for the support provided to Ukraine.

“I would like to thank you on behalf of the Ukrainian people, because our society, we all feel and rely on your support – the support of the United States from the very beginning of the full-scale war, from the very beginning of the Russian aggression,” Zelensky emphasized.

According to the Office of the President of Ukraine, Zelensky mentioned that the United States helps Ukraine not only at the federal government level but also at the level of individual states. This includes, among other things, housing reconstruction projects, assistance to internally displaced persons, and humanitarian support.

Addressing the delegation, the Head of State urged American businesses to actively invest in Ukraine and create new jobs as soon as now.

“It is important for us to create new jobs. If you can help with this, please do so. This is also a contribution to our victory,” Zelensky said.

In his words, Ukraine needs the support of private businesses to rebuild homes, schools and universities destroyed by the aggressor, as well as the energy infrastructure ruined due to Russian missile terror.

“I urge you to invest in the Ukrainian agricultural industry and the IT sector. Such cooperation will be mutually beneficial,” Zelensky stressed.

Among other things, President Zelensky briefed the representatives of Utah on the situation in Ukraine. The parties exchanged views on the steps that the representatives of Utah could take to help Ukraine defeat the aggressor.

Additionally, Zelensky emphasized that he would welcome the deepening of bilateral cooperation with American businesses in the field of arms production and development of new defense technologies.

“We are open to this. We invite you,” the President of Ukraine added.

Following the meeting, the Head of State concluded that Ukraine has enough opportunities – humanitarian support, assistance in reconstruction, political cooperation – to work together for the common interests of Ukrainians and Americans.
