Production processes at the Crimean Titan plant in Armiansk in the temporarily occupied Crimea have been disrupted to a critical level.

Presidential Mission in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (ARC) reported this, Ukrinform says.

"Due to the enemy's terrorist attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant and, as a result, the lack of water in the North Crimean Canal, production processes at the Crimean Titan plant in Armiansk have been disrupted to a critical level. Russian occupiers consider it impossible to resume work in a minimally proper mode," the statement reads.

It is noted that information is being spread in Armiansk about the possible shutdown of Crimean Titan.

At the same time, the mission adds, the engineering units of Russian occupation army have been mining the factory, which is still operating, and planting explosives there and surrounding area in recent days.

The mission emphasizes that a terrorist attack (which Russian invaders are preparing for) on Crimean Titan would mean an artificial man-made disaster. The Crimean Titan uses about 200 tonnes of ammonia.

"In the event of an explosion at the plant, an ammonia cloud, depending on the wind direction, will cover the surrounding areas in half an hour. The occupied Armiansk, Krasnoperekopsk district, and southern districts of Kherson region will be under threat," the mission said.

The mission urges citizens to be careful and evacuate away from the plant if possible.

"Please familiarize yourself with the rules of conduct in case of man-made accidents involving the release of chemicals, in particular ammonia. We also remind you of our recommendation to stay as far away as possible from Russian military facilities," the mission noted.

As reported, the representative of the Defense Ministry's Main Directorate of Intelligence, Andriy Yusov, said that Russian invaders are considering a scenario of disabling the Crimean Titan in case of their retreat and escape.
