The Head of State wrote this on his Twitter account, Ukrinform reports.
“Had a phone call with World Bank President Ajay Banga. Thanked for the World Bank's unwavering support since the first days of Russia's full-scale aggression. We discussed further development of cooperation, in particular, mobilization of international support,” Zelensky wrote.
The President noted the rapid response of the World Bank to the blasting of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant by the Russian invaders and cooperation with Ukraine to assess the damage caused by this tragedy.
“I invited the World Bank to reopen its representative office in Ukraine and emphasized that we are interested in cooperation during the post-war transformation of Ukraine, in particular, in overcoming corruption and reducing the share of cash in the Ukrainian economy,” Zelensky wrote.
As reported by Ukrinform, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that the World Bank would conduct a rapid assessment of the damage caused by Russia's blowing up of the Kakhovka HPP dam.
