As of June 26, 2023, a total of 30,636 Ukrainians were taking part in socially useful works under the Army of Reconstruction project.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Employment Service on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Army of Reconstruction: more than 30.6 thousand citizens have been assigned to jobs since October 1, 2022. Ukrainians from 18 regions are involved in socially useful works. A total of UAH 200 million has been transferred to finance such jobs,” the report states.

In particular, 5,449 people were assigned to relevant jobs in the Poltava region, 5,209 – in the Kharkiv region, 3,599 – in the Donetsk region, 3,394 – in the Kyiv region, and 3,356 – in the Chernihiv region.

These people are helping the civilians affected by hostilities, building defense structures, making camouflage nets, unloading and sorting the humanitarian aid, eliminating the consequences of floods, etc.

A reminder that the Army of Reconstruction project was launched by the Ukrainian government last autumn to involve people who had lost jobs in the country’s reconstruction through socially useful works. Salary payments for such jobs cannot be lower than the minimum wages (UAH 6,700).
