Ukraine, Azerbaijan agree on quota of permits for international freight transportation for 2024
According to the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, the decision was approved at a meeting of the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani Joint Commission on International Road Transport.
Ukraine and Azerbaijan have agreed to increase universal permits by 88% for each country in 2024; on the possibility of exchanging permits separately for transit transportation; to issue permits for non-regular transportation of passengers by road transport.
Overall, the quota for carriers for the next year will include 11,550 permits per country. Of these, 6,000 are universal permits, 5,000 are transit, 500 are for transportation to/from third countries, and 50 are universal permits for passenger transportation.
In addition, a decision was made to exchange this year's universal quota of permits in the amount of 2,000 pieces.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting on July 7 resumed sugar exports to Romania and set a quota for the supply of this product at 20,000 tonnes until September 15, 2023.
