More than 1400 applicants receive money for repairs under eRecovery program

This was reported by Ukrinform citing the press service of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure.

"There is still a lot of work to be done - since the program started on May 10, Ukrainians have submitted 24,724 applications. <...> There is money - the government has allocated UAH 4.4 billion to implement the program, mechanisms and digital tools have been created - we need local responsibility," said Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine, Minister of Community, Territorial and Infrastructure Development.

He noted that "the pace of processing applications is insufficient," even though local governments have set up 510 commissions. Citizens will be able to use the funds to purchase construction materials and pay for repairs.

Kubrakov once again urged communities to organize the work of the commissions.

"We are taking a comprehensive approach towards solving the problem of housing for Ukrainians. This includes systemic changes in housing policy, which we are discussing with European partners, state compensation programs, and the direct implementation of reconstruction projects," the Deputy Prime Minister commented.

As reported, on May 10, the eRecovery program was launched. Every citizen whose home was damaged as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation can apply for state aid for housing repairs. This can be done through the Diia portal or by contacting administrative service centers, social protection agencies and notaries.
