Government allocates UAH 271M for people who lost harvest due to terrorist attack at Kakhovka HPP

The government is allocating UAH 271 million to Kherson and Mykolaiv regions to pay compensation to people who lost their crops due to the Russian terrorist attack at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said this at a government meeting, Ukrinform reports.

"The government allocates UAH 271 million to Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. This money will be used to pay people who lost their harvests due to the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. The payments will amount to UAH 3.300 for the lost vegetable harvest on each hundred square meters of private garden land. The maximum amount of assistance for the lost harvest will be up to UAH 100.000," the Prime Minister said.

The government also transferred UAH 95 million to the National Bank of Ukraine from the account of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories to meet the needs of citizens evacuating from the combat areas and those in the de-occupied territories.

"We are approving a resolution that will allow us to allocate UAH 95 million from the account of the Ministry of Reintegration with the NBU to meet the needs of citizens evacuating from the combat areas and those in the de-occupied territories. The amount remains unchanged - UAH 3.000 for people with disabilities and children; UAH 2.000 for other persons," Shmyhal said.

As reported, there are currently about five million officially registered internally displaced persons in Ukraine, and about two million unregistered IDPs.
