Shmyhal: Farmers have threshed almost 16.6M tonnes of grain
"Ukrainian farmers have already threshed almost 16.6 million tonnes of grain, most in Mykolaiv and Odesa regions. We clearly understand that there will be enough food both for Ukraine's internal needs and for export," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at the Cabinet’s meeting, Ukrinform reports.
According to him, the Ukrainian state will continue to be one of the key guarantors of global food security. In this issue, Ukraine relies on help from partners – more air defense systems and sustainable land logistics routes with high throughput are needed, the Head of Government noted.
As reported, Ukraine is actively looking for new ways to transport grain after Russia's withdrawal from the grain initiative and its attacks on the port infrastructure in the south.
