Türkiye seeks to restore the Black Sea Grain Initiative as soon as possible, in connection with which technical negotiations on the reactivation of the initiative may take place in Istanbul.

That’s according to Sabah, Ukrinform reports.

"Technical negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv regarding the reactivation of the corridor may take place in Istanbul," the article says.

It is also noted that Türkiye, together with the United Nations, is working on project proposals to make the corridor functional and thus prevent global problems, migration, and internal instability in underdeveloped nations.

"Desiring peace in the region, Ankara seeks to revive the Black Sea Initiative as soon as possible instead of opting for alternative routes," the report reads.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Black Sea Grain Initiative was launched in July 2022. For this purpose, two documents were signed: with the participation of the UN, Türkiye, and Ukraine, and separately – the UN, Türkiye, and the Russian Federation.

The agreement was extended several times. On July 17, Moscow announced its withdrawal from the deal.
