Damaged roofs of over 200 apartment blocks repaired in Mykolaiv
The Mykolaiv City Council announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Due to massive shelling by the Russian aggressor, 267 multi-story buildings were damaged in the city over a year and a half. Repairing the housing stock became a priority task for the city authorities, because people had to be provided with normal conditions for living. So far, 208 roofs have been restored," the report says.
According to Dmytro Bezdolnyi, Director of the Housing and Communal Services Department, all this time, specialists of utility enterprises, management companies and apartment building co-owners association worked almost without rest.
"The pace of repairs is very high, despite the fact that in the conditions of war we have a shortage of personnel and resources. By the end of the year, the Housing and Communal Services Department plans to repair 44 more roofs," the official informed.
As reported, in Mykolaiv, out of more than 1,300 people who applied, 63 residents have received confirmation of compensation for destroyed or damaged housing under the eRecovery program.
