US ports will help restore Ukraine's maritime infrastructure
As the press service of USPA posted on Facebook, cooperation with the Odesa seaport was agreed upon within the framework of the memorandum.
"As two of the world's leading grain exporters, the United States and Ukraine are proud of their role in providing the world with food. This memorandum cements the support for the Ukrainian people in protecting their freedom and creates an alliance with our Ukrainian partners that focuses on our shared mission of serving customers across the world and creating economic prosperity for our communities," said Paul Matthews, CEO of the Port of South Louisiana.
As reported, the Russians are systematically shelling the Ukrainian port infrastructure. After the termination of the grain deal in July 2023, the enemy launched a series of attacks on the ports of Odesa and the Danube ports. According to the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, about 270,000 tonnes of grain were destroyed as a result of these attacks.
