Germany’s Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection Steffi Lemke has arrived in Kyiv today for talks on Ukraine’s environmental recovery following Russia’s aggression.
The German Embassy in Ukraine said this in a post on the social network X, Ukrinform reports.
"Minister for the Environment Steffi Lemke is in Kyiv today for talks on environmental recovery, for which the Federal Ministry offers support. Russia’s war of aggression is also destroying nature and the environment, which endangers the livelihoods of Ukrainians in the acute and long term, such as drinking water,” the report says.
As reported by Ukrinform, law enforcement officers recorded 265 war crimes against the environment and 14 cases of ecocide committed by Russia in Ukraine.
