Economy Ministry calculates labor market need for specialists for 2024-2027
The corresponding Project of the medium-term forecast of the need for specialists and workers in the labor market for 2024-2027 was published on the website of the Joint Representative Body of Trade Union Associations.
According to the forecast, the domestic labor market will need 481,570 workers in 2024 with the most sought-after specialists in industry (120,930) and construction (111,730).
By 2025, the total need for workers is expected to increase to 541,950 people with a similar professional bias – it is planned to attract 138,620 people in industry and 134,080 people in construction.
In 2026, the labor market is expected to grow again – up to 606,750 people. By types of economic activity, industry (156,280) and construction (156,420 thousand) are also in the lead.
By 2027, the workforce is to increase up to 669,450 people; in industry – up to 173,960, in construction – up to 173,190.
As reported, according to the data of the European Business Association, 51% of companies continued to hire employees in 2023, and 64% of businesses expressed the intention to increase the number of personnel next year.
