Checkpoints are restoring capacity after the blockade was suspended, and about 5,000 trucks have already left for Poland.

This was announced on Facebook by Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery - Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov, Ukrinform reports.

"After the suspension of the blockade on January 17, almost 5,000 trucks have already left for Poland at the three checkpoints Dorohusk-Yagodyn, Hrebenne-Rava-Ruska and Korchova-Krakivets. The largest checkpoint, Yahodyn, has already restored its capacity to 600 trucks per day. This figure is even higher than it was before the blockade. The number of trucks leaving through Krakivets and Rava-Ruska is growing," the statement said.

According to Kubrakov, the effectiveness of the solution at Nyzhankovychi - Malhovice, where registration in eCheck is temporarily suspended, is currently being evaluated. So far, the checkpoint is not operating at full capacity, and should be able to pass 150 empty trucks per day, as it was during the eCheckout. It is important that all checkpoints operate at maximum capacity, the official emphasized.

He noted that joint plans to create four additional border crossing points in addition to the existing 14 are also being discussed with the Polish side.

In addition, the Vice Prime Minister emphasized that in the near future the Polish Government will appoint Pawel Kowal as the Commissioner for the Reconstruction of Ukraine.

As reported, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal discussed with the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk the creation of four new border crossing points between the two countries.
