Agricultural Policy Ministry, Mercy Corps to cooperate in agriculture sector

Ukraine’s Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food and Mercy Corps Ukraine have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The ministry’s press service reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

The document was signed by Ukraine’s Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Solskyi and Vicki Aken, the acting head of Mercy Corps Ukraine.

"The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Mercy Corps have reached an agreement on potential cooperation in the field of agriculture," the memorandum says.

The areas of cooperation will include development of bilateral relations in the agricultural sector, exchange of information on the functioning of the State Agrarian Registry, development of a program to help farmers, support for access to educational programs for agricultural producers.

Mercy Corps is a global team of humanitarian and development professionals working in more than 40 countries.

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion, Mercy Corps has provided assistance to more than 750,000 Ukrainians. The organization provides grants for micro, small and medium-sized businesses, as well as small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises.
