Ukraine’s defense giant creating clusters as part of ongoing corporatization

"The Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry approved the establishment of two research and production associations in the fields of aircraft construction and aircraft repair, as well as ammunition and specialized chemicals. The enterprises that will be included in the specified clusters have been designated," the statement reads.
Ukroboronprom CEO Herman Smetanin says the step marks the next stage of the company’s transformation within the framework of the ongoing defense reform, according to the press service.
It is emphasized that in the near future, paperwork required for setting up the said clusters will be filed with the Cabinet of Ministers for approval.
Ukroboronprom has already begun work on drawing a plan for integrating the designated enterprises into the relevant clusters.
As reported, within the framework of the corporatization campaign, JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry has already transformed 38 of its enterprises into limited liability companies, including 10 this year.
