Ukrenergo warns of higher electricity deficit across Ukraine on Tuesday

That’s according to NEC Ukrenergo, Ukrinform reports.

As the company noted, the deficit in the power system will be higher than on Monday, June 3. The reason is an increase in consumption due to the warmer weather and lower imports. Electricity consumption caps for each region will be valid from 0:00 to 24:00.

Ukrenergo recalls that, if consumption caps are exceeded, regional power distribution companies will apply hourly shutdown schedules - for both industrial and household consumers.

As reported, on the morning of Saturday, June 1, Russia launched another massive attack on Ukraine’s energy generation facilities. Since March, this is already the sixth integrated missile and drone attack targeting civil energy infrastructure.

In Ukraine, as of June 3, electricity consumption caps apply in all regions.
