NBU sells $695 million on interbank market over week

The National Bank of Ukraine sold $694.7 million on the interbank foreign exchange market last week.

The data is published on the NBU's website, Ukrinform reports.

According to the results of foreign exchange interventions, from June 3 to June 7, 2024, the National Bank of Ukraine sold $694.7 million on the interbank foreign exchange market.

Since the beginning of 2024, the NBU has sold $11.99 billion on the interbank market and bought $115.7 million.

As reported, in 2023, the National Bank of Ukraine sold $28.829 billion on the interbank market and bought $219.85 million.

The National Bank of Ukraine has decided to switch to a managed exchange rate flexibility regime starting from October 3, 2023. The fixed exchange rate of UAH 36.5686 per US dollar was in effect in Ukraine from the end of July 2022 until October 3, 2023.
