Shmyhal outlines priorities within donor coordination platform
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported this on Facebook following the platform’s 10th meeting, Ukrinform reports.
"A key focus is the energy sector. Our government has designated four key tasks to meet this challenge: receiving the sufficient number of air defense systems that would protect our cities, our energy and economy, rapid reconstruction and repair of damaged plants and equipment, decentralization of the energy system, and financing energy efficiency measures," Shmyhal wrote.
In addition, the prime minister informed the partners about the Matrix of reforms, which the government adopted last week. According to Shmyhal, this unique tool will help systematize all reforms and conditions, check the status of their implementation, prioritize reforms depending on their impact on the economy and recovery.
"I thank all members of the Platform for their dedication to our common goals, effective coordination and willingness to support Ukraine as much as needed," Shmyhal added.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Multilateral Donor Coordination Platform is the basis for coordinating international aid to Ukraine. It was conceived in January 2023.
According to the European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, the donor platform will help Ukraine promote reforms on the path to the European Union.
