Ukrzaliznytsia intends to restore a total of 230 km of its lines, increase the speed and capacity on the repaired sections, and ensure a smooth rail transportation.
As reported, the Grant Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Swiss Confederation regarding the Emergency Support Project to improve and restore Ukraine’s railway infrastructure was signed on December 23, 2022. It laid down financing from Schwihag AG in the amount of up to CHF 14 million for rail fasteners to improve and restore up to 270 km of tracks.
