Business ready to build about 1 GW of generation - Kudrytskyi
This was announced by the Chairman of the Board of NPC Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytskyi on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
He noted that a meeting of representatives of Ukrenergo, Green Deal Ukraine, Ukraine Facility Platform, and private companies that are already building new power plants was held in Berlin on the eve of the Recovery Conference.
"Projects with a total value of at least $500-700 million were presented at the event. According to our estimates, private businesses are already ready to develop projects for the construction of generation with a volume of about 1 GW. And this is just the beginning,” Kudrytskyi wrote.
He said that they discussed specific projects of cities (Zhytomyr and Dnipro), Ukrainian companies (OKKO, MHP, BGV, Epicenter, etc.), and foreign investors (Fenix RePower, Ingrid Capacity, Notus Energy). The meeting was also attended by major donors: European Investment Bank, KfW, EBRD, IFC and others.
As reported, Ukraine's Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko discussed with the Ukrainian-American Business Council the attraction of investments in promising areas of Ukraine's energy sector.
