Communities of Vinnytsia Region allocated UAH 1.5 billion in local budgets to support AFU

The communities of Vinnytsia region have allocated UAH 1.5 billion in local budgets to support the Armed Forces, and almost 30% of these funds have already been used for their intended purpose.

This was reported to Ukrinform by the Vinnytsia Regional Council.

"The communities of the Vinnytsia region have allocated UAH 1.5 billion in their local budgets to support the Armed Forces. Of the 63 territorial communities in the region, 60 local councils have provided for the needs of defenders, and two district councils in Vinnytsia and Tulchyn have joined in, despite the limited capacity of their budgets," the regional council said.

The agency noted that the total amount of these expenditures is UAH 1.5 billion, or almost 12% of the revenues of the general fund of local budgets as of April 2024.

During the first quarter of this year, UAH 439.6 million, or almost 30% of the allocated funding, was transferred for the intended purpose.

As reported, Vinnytsia is initiating a ban on state funding of political parties during the war to use the freed-up funds to support the Armed Forces and social protection of servicemen.
