No power outages expected in Ukraine on Sunday

Hourly shutdown schedules will not be applied in any regions of Ukraine on Sunday, June 16.

That’s according to NEC Ukrenergo, Ukraine’s power grid operator, Ukrinform reports.

"Tomorrow, June 16, restriction measures are not expected to be applied throughout Ukraine due to a decrease in consumption as people have their day off," the statement reads.

In the event the situation in the power system changes, the application of consumption caps will be reported additionally.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the repair of power units at nuclear power plants is being carried out ahead of schedule.
