Ukraine, Poland to deepen cooperation in dairy industry

According to the Memorandum, the parties will cooperate to exchange experience in the field of European integration of the Ukrainian and Polish dairy industry, provide consultations and recommendations on aligning Ukrainian legislation with EU law in the dairy industry. The parties also agreed to jointly support the idea of a sectoral approach to continuing parity trade at the national and European levels.
"Cooperation between the two parties can contribute to the increase of trade and investment, as well as the exchange of knowledge and technology. Joint action can also strengthen the competitiveness of the dairy industries of both countries on the international market," the statement reads.
Currently, 59 Ukrainian companies hold permits to export dairy products to the European Union, producing raw milk, ice cream, dairy products, colostrum and colostrum-based products. Since the beginning of 2024, Ukraine has exported to the EU 30% of the total volume of dairy exports.
