PM Shmyhal, Swedish government and business representatives discuss increasing investment in Ukraine
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“I have invited Swedish businesses to invest in our state as soon as now. The following sectors have the greatest potential for Ukraine’s growth: energy, transport and logistics, agri-food, critical materials, IT and digitalization, green transition, and manufacturing,” Shmyhal wrote.
Among other things, the Prime Minister mentioned that Business Sweden, an organization operating in more than 40 international markets and helping Swedish companies to succeed abroad, had opened its representative office in Kyiv.
Shmyhal expressed gratitude to Sweden for supporting Ukraine’s economy, creating and preserving jobs.
“The opening of a trade mission in Kyiv will be a great opportunity for Swedish companies to see the prospects for doing business in Ukraine,” Shmyhal added.
A reminder that Sweden allocated EUR 26.4 million for the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership (E5P) Fund in grant support of energy efficiency projects in Ukraine.
