Ukrainian sea corridor has already transported 55 million tonnes of cargo

In the first 10 months of the Ukrainian sea corridor's operation, port cargo turnover reached a record 55 million tonnes, most of which is agricultural products.

The press service of the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"55 million tonnes of cargo - the cargo turnover of the ports of Greater Odesa for 10 months of the Ukrainian corridor," the statement said.

During this period, 1,954 vessels were loaded. The vast majority of cargo was produced by Ukrainian farmers - 37.4 million tonnes of grain was exported to 45 countries.

Currently, 68 vessels exporting almost 2 million tonnes of cargo are waiting to enter the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi.

As reported, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) predicts a 15% increase in grain exports from Ukraine.
