Ukraine currently imports 35,203 MWh of electricity
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
For the current day, electricity imports are forecasted at 35,203 MWh. No exports are expected.
Yesterday, to partially cover the electricity shortage, Ukraine additionally attracted emergency assistance from the power systems of Poland, Romania and Slovakia.
On Saturday, 29 June, the hourly power outage schedules will apply from 0:00 to 24:00. If the situation changes, the information will be updated.
As the Ministry of Energy stressed, the main reason for the restrictions is the Russian attacks on energy infrastructure and the negative consequences of these attacks.
The ministry urged consumers to consume electricity responsibly during the hours when it is available. This will strengthen the resilience of the power system.
In the Zhytomyr and Kharkiv regions, regional power company employees were killed while maintaining the power grids.
In Zhytomyr region, a 31-year-old electrician operating distribution networks was electrocuted while inspecting an overhead line.
In Kharkiv region, a 40-year-old distribution network foreman was electrocuted. Paramedics pronounced him dead.
In Donetsk region, a distribution system operator's overhead line was damaged by Russian shelling. The substation and the household consumers and a mine connected to it were cut off. At the time, 73 workers were in the mine and were brought to the surface. All consumers were reconnected.
In the Lviv region, a metal ball with a diameter of 15 cm was found on the territory of one of the high-voltage substations - a fragment of a cluster munition from a Russian X-101 missile. The SES workers removed the munition from the substation.
In Chernihiv region, 413 customers in six settlements lost power at once due to shelling overnight.
In Cherkasy region, equipment at one of the regional power company's substations was disconnected for technological reasons. As a result, household and industrial consumers in two districts lost power. All consumers have been supplied with power.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, DTEK Energy does not consider any of its facilities to be beyond repair. However, the restoration work may take years.
