Ukraine is doing everything possible to increase electricity imports, and this should be a European solution.

According to Ukrinform, this was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his evening address.

I wish you health, dear Ukrainians!

Today is a busy day.

The visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Ukraine is the first in many years and since the war. And what is important is that it is right after Hungary's EU presidency begins. This is a clear signal of how important it is for all of us in Europe to remain united and take joint steps. There was a lot of talk about the path to peace, and it is to a just peace, a lasting, honest peace. I thanked everyone for participating in the Peace Summit and for supporting the communiqué. I spoke about what we have already achieved with our partners in the work between the summits, preparing for the second Peace Summit. There are good developments, and there will be even more. I invited Hungary and Prime Minister Orban to join the relevant efforts. There are also good bilateral results. In general, we see that these are completely different relations between Ukraine and Hungary: concrete and taking into account mutual interests. We have agreed on various details - economic and political - that our teams will deal with. And it is very important that we outline our relations and our achievements in a new document - an agreement that will define good neighborliness for Ukraine and Hungary.

That's the second thing today. I spoke with Mark Rutte, and today the government in the Netherlands has already changed. Mark will continue to work in the North Atlantic Alliance. I thanked him for his support over the years: Without exaggeration, the Netherlands has helped save thousands and thousands of lives of our people. Ukraine will always be grateful for this. I also wish the new Dutch government and the new Prime Minister success and truly effective leadership.

There were several important reports today. The head of the Foreign Intelligence Service has just reported. A clear range of questions about what threatens us and the opportunities we can take advantage of. There are good prospects.

There was also a long, very detailed report by the head of the Ukrainian government today. Government officials have now begun to work hard in the regions, including Donetsk. This is what we talked about after my trip to the region. There are a lot of problems there, both social and purely infrastructural: water, reconstruction, and provision of people. Now there are already draft government decisions in various areas - on what is needed and what will be resolved. The government will also continue to work on other regions, all of which have special problems due to the war.

The Prime Minister reported on measures to protect energy facilities: active protection, electronic warfare and everything else. He also reported on reconstruction and our work with European partners to expand electricity imports to Ukraine. We are now fully choosing the volume of imports agreed with the EU, and I am grateful to all our neighbors for this help. We are doing everything we can to increase imports, and this should be a European solution. Our government officials are working on the relevant agreement.

I instructed Deputy Prime Minister Fedorov to present me with an analysis of telecom operators at the next meeting of the Council of Ministers: what is being done to guarantee communication in the face of power outages and which telecom operators are not complying with the relevant decisions. I also instructed the Minister of Energy to inform people on a daily basis about the state of work in the energy sector, about existing deficits and what the country is doing to fill them. The government must also work much more actively to ensure that our people and our companies have more opportunities to purchase, manufacture, and install all the necessary equipment to get through this difficult period. I have also instructed the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, who is currently on a visit to the United States, to obtain specific dates for the delivery of the additional Patriot systems that we have agreed with our partners.

I thank everyone who is really working hard for Ukraine and Ukrainians! I thank everyone who believes in Ukraine, who brings the results Ukraine needs closer!

Glory to Ukraine!
