“At the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States, I had a meeting with representatives of American defense companies,” the president wrote on Facebook.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of joint defense production, in particular, of ammunition, air defense systems, guns, armored vehicles and drones, as well as ensuring the repair and maintenance of military hardware, the report reads.

“We are grateful for cooperation and assistance to Ukraine in defending freedom and democracy,” wrote the president.

The President's Office specified that representatives of BAE Systems, Day & Zimmermann, Boeing, Sierra Nevada Company, Northrop Grumman, RTX, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, D&M Holding, AeroVironment, and Amentum attended the meeting.

"Volodymyr Zelensky invited American defense companies to work on the Ukrainian market and cooperate with domestic enterprises. He noted that Ukraine has significantly increased its own production of ammunition and weapons. At the same time, there is a need for increased international cooperation," the report reads.

According to the President’s Office, in Zelensky’s presence, JSC Ukroboronprom and Northrop Grumman signed an agreement on the creation of a new production of medium-caliber ammunition in line with NATO standards.
