Ukraine's finance minister meets with IMF mission chief
That's according to the Ukrainian Finance Ministry's press service, Ukrinform reports.
"The priorities of cooperation with the IMF remain unchanged - fulfilling the conditions of the EFF program and mobilizing funds for the urgent needs of the state budget. We are currently in the process of preparing for the fifth review. This is a significant result, as Ukraine reached this stage for the first time in cooperation with the IMF," Marchenko said.
He noted that this year, the IMF is the second-largest source of external budget support - $3.1 billion. In total, within the framework of the program, the state budget has already received $7.6 billion.
The next IMF mission in the context of preparations for the fifth review of the EFF program will start in September. As a result of the successful review of the program, Ukraine will receive the next tranche from the Fund in the amount of about $1.1 billion.
