On Saturday, Ukraine plans to attract help from power systems of Romania, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary

The situation in the energy sector remains difficult. There is a significant shortage of generating capacity in the system due to massive Russian attacks since the spring of this year, and shelling continues, especially in the frontline areas. Substations and power transmission lines are often targeted.

Yesterday, Ukraine's power system received surplus electricity from the Polish power system.

On Saturday, hourly blackout schedules are scheduled to run from 06:00 to 24:00. The blackouts are not foreseen for critical infrastructure enterprises and companies that import more than 80% of electricity for their needs in accordance with a government decree.

The ministry reminded that the main reason for the electricity supply restrictions is the enemy's attacks on the energy infrastructure and the negative consequences of these attacks. 9 GW of generating capacity was lost.

In Poltava region, equipment at a high-voltage substation was switched off during an air raid alarm, which led to a blackout of several overhead lines, substations and household consumers. A fire broke out at the substation. The fire has been extinguished. Consumers are partially supplied with electricity via a backup scheme.

In Chernihiv region, a UAV attack shut down equipment at a high-voltage substation. Several substations, household consumers and a company were cut off from power. The inspection revealed a fire at the substation. The fire was extinguished. Consumers are partially supplied with power.

In Kharkiv region, a high-voltage overhead line was disconnected as a result of hostilities. Consumers were not cut off.

In Donetsk Oblast, ventilation equipment stopped working at a mine. At the time, there were 33 workers in the mine, all of whom were brought to the surface.

Power companies supplied power to 16,102 consumers who were cut off from electricity as a result of the hostilities. In total, 541 settlements remain without power due to the hostilities and technical violations.

At Zaporizhzhia NPP, the water level in the cooling pond is 14.89 metres. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant.
