Anatoliy Tymoshchuk returns to Zenit
KYIV, May 24 /UKRINFORM/. Ukraine and Bayern Munich midfielder Anatoliy Tymoshchuk has returned to Russia's Zenit, gazeta.ru has reported.
"Luciano Spalletti confirmed the arrival of Greek goalkeeper with Russian passport Juri Lodigin and the return of Anatoliy Tymoshchuk at a traditional briefing after Zenit's open training session," reads the report.
"We need one more goalkeeper, and the arrival of Lodigin doesn't mean that we don't trust our keeper Yegor Baburin. They will compete with each other. I see no problems with Anatoliy Tymoshchuk's return. How will he get on with Igor Denisov, and who will take the position of midfielder? They played together. Competition is need for such a big team as Zenit," Spalletti said.
Earlier, Tymoshchuk did not rule out that he could extend his contract with Germany's strongest club, although he does not always play in the main team.
