Temporary crossing to Ivankiv village flooded in Kyiv region

A temporary crossing to the village of Ivankiv in Kyiv region has been flooded. The situation remains tense.

The Head of the Kyiv region police, Andriy Nebytov wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

He reminded that due to prolonged rainfall, the dam of a local pond was washed away, and the streets of the village were flooded.

The detour to Ivankiv is now through the village of Kukhari.

"We urge citizens to be careful. The police are ensuring law and order and helping citizens overcome the effects of the natural disaster," added Nebytov.

As Ukrinform reported, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center warns about possible flooding in Kyiv and some districts of Kyiv region as a result of the spring floods passing through the Kyiv hydroelectric power station.
