Over 21,000 ha of farmland flooded in 5 regions - SES
According to Ukrinform, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reported this.
"The hydrological situation is currently under control. There is a tendency to reduce the rate of water level rise in rivers in the country's north," the statement said.
1,618 households remain flooded in Chernihiv (488), Kirovohrad (323), Dnipro (337), Kyiv (210), Cherkasy (153), and Poltava regions (107) and 340 houses in Dnipro (182), Kirovohrad (87), Cherkasy (40), Chernihiv (29), and Poltava regions (2).
In Dnipro, Volyn, Rivne, Cherkasy, and Poltava regions, 21,100 ha of agricultural land were flooded. Transportation links to 30 settlements were disrupted: 29 in Chernihiv region and one in Kyiv region.
Rescuers pumped out 1,130 cubic meters of water per day (16,314 since the start of work) and transported 271 people (2,104 since the start of work). The work involved 163 people and 66 pieces of equipment (705 people and 295 pieces of equipment since the beginning of the work).
The hydrological situation is under intense SES control.
As Ukrinform reported, as of April 18, 1,642 households and 330 houses remained flooded in Ukraine.
