In Rivne, minibus driver who disrespected mother of war dead fired
Oleksandr Tretiak, the mayor of Rivne, said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"An outrageous incident happened recently in our community. The driver of a minibus treated the mother of our fallen Hero with disrespect. This situation is not only outrageous, but the driver must be punished for it," the statement said.
As noted, the driver has already been fired from his job and is no longer allowed to work in the transport sector. In addition, the driver has to apologise to the mother of the killed man, as well as go to the cemetery and apologise to her son.
The carrier was also obliged to deliver humanitarian aid to the frontline and bring it there personally.
As reported by rivne.media, in Rivne, a bus driver insulted the mother of the fallen Hero, Lyudmila Marchuk, on 2 June.
Marchuk wrote about the incident on Facebook. She noted that if the driver had expressed his condolences and explained that all the privileged seats were taken, her post would not have been there. If she hadn't heard in her back: "There are so many of you here".
