Five settlements remain flooded in right-bank part of Kherson region – PM Shmyhal
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this at a government meeting on Monday, Ukrinform reports.
"As of this morning, the average water level in Kherson region was 80 centimeters. Five settlements in the right-bank part of the region remain flooded. Active work on water pumping, garbage disposal, and demining is underway. Soon, where possible, electricity and gas supply will be resumed to the houses," Shmyhal said.
He added that more than 3,700 people, including 474 children, were evacuated from the disaster zone in the right-bank part of the region.
"Unfortunately, 17 people died, more than 30 have gone missing. My sincere condolences to their families and friends," said the Prime Minister.
He thanked everyone who is helping to tackle the consequences of the disaster caused by Russia.
As reported, on the night of June 6, the Russian army blew up the Kakhovka HPP dam.
