North Crimean Canal near Dzhankoi begins to dry up

That's according to the human rights organization CrimeaSOS, Ukrinform reports.

"After the Russians blew up the dam of the Kakhovka HPP dam on June 6, 2023, the North Crimean Canal near the town of Dzhankoi began to thicken and dry up," the post says.

Human rights defenders said the issue concerns a floodplain of the North Crimean Channel, which was earlier called Dzhankoi's "city beach." Dwindling water levels in the canal can be also seen on the way out of the city.

According to the post, people in Dzhankoi get uninterrupted water supply.

On June 6, the Russian army blew up the dam of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. Ukrainian law enforcement officers started an investigation on counts of ecocide. Ukraine's state-run hydropower generating company Ukrhydroenergo said the the Kakhovka HPP had been destroyed and could not be restored.
