Russian propaganda spreading fake about Kharkiv RMA head’s real estate in Dubai
Russian bots on Telegram channels and X, z-bloggers are spreading a photo showing a man in Dubai near the Burj Khalifa skyscraper and an alleged "document" confirming ownership of an apartment in the city’s elite high-rise building.
The propagandists claim that the apartment is supposedly registered to Hanna Zhuravliova, an associate professor at Kharkiv Medical University and the wife of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov. They also claim that Oleh Syniehubov supposedly flies to Dubai all the time, despite martial law.
This is a fake. The photo of Oleh Syniehubov allegedly posing near the Burj Khalifa was made with the help of graphic editors. The original photo belongs to Turkish businessman, blogger and restaurateur Murat Ekmekcioglu. The photo can be found on his Instagram page.
The "document" that allegedly certifies the "fact" that Hanna Zhuravliova, the wife of the Kharkiv regional governor, acquired ownership of a house in Dubai was also fabricated. The template of this document can be found on Russian resources with stock photos. Also, in the upper left corner, the propagandists replaced the old emblem of Dubai city with a new one.
The assertion that Oleh Syniehubov is frequently traveling abroad, particularly to Dubai, during the war is a fabrication by Russian propaganda. According to posts on social media by the regional military administration, the head of the executive branch in the Kharkiv region is constantly at work. Furthermore, he was even in the frontline city of Vovchansk when the enemy came close to the city.
It should be noted that according to the declaration filed by Oleh Syniehubov with the NACP in 2024, neither he nor his wife owns any real estate abroad.
This fake is part of IPSO disseminated by Russian propagandists following the intensification of hostilities in the Kharkiv region. Its purpose was to spread panic in the rear of the Ukrainian army.
Earlier, Russian propagandists spread the fake that a Patriot system provided to Ukraine ended up in China.
